Why I Love “Tough Cases”

When I was 19, I was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome. It's a genetic syndrome that comes with lots of complications that can vary widely. As I've gotten older, these complications have made themselves more evident in my everyday life. Some of these include thyroid issues, cardiovascular issues, and lowered bone density.

Luckily, I was born into a chiropractic family and regular chiropractic care allowed my body to handle a lot of these on its own. In chiropractic, we have a principle that the body's ability to regulate, protect, and heal itself is limited by the physical matter in the body. As part of my body's natural aging process, my physical matter has become more limited as I've moved into my 30's. I've had to be more diligent about getting adjusted every week, doing weight-bearing cardiovascular exercise, and watching what I eat. I've also had to give my body more support by enlisting the help of other healthcare providers. That's where my love of helping “tough cases” began.

In the Cedar Valley, we are lucky to have access to a wide variety of specialist healthcare providers. A lot of you still struggle with finding the appropriate provider to help you. Along with having complex health needs can come unique barriers to getting the help you need.

There are three major barriers to getting the help you need that you've reported.

  1. Scheduling – It's often difficult to get an appointment with a provider.

  2. Getting To The Office – You may struggle to visit a provider's office due to altered mobility, anxiety, or sensory issues.

  3. Finding The Right Provider – Where do you start? Is the provider right for you?

That is why Cedar Valley Mobile Chiropractic exists. After experiencing first-hand what living with a complicated health challenge is like, I wanted better for my community. With Cedar Valley Mobile Chiropractic, you can schedule a house-call appointment and have a doctor come right to your house. You can also have a doctor come to your office over your lunch break. Night and weekend appointments are available because you asked for them.

Having a healthy nervous system is incredibly important. It can make an enormous difference when you are dealing with things like fibromyalgia, autism, stroke recovery, multiple sclerosis, etc. Take care of your nervous system in the comfort of your home and on your schedule.

Connecting you to other providers is another way we are different. I have connections to providers in many different disciplines and specialties. No matter what your challenges are, I can help you get a care team in place that will love to help you. My specialty and focus is getting your nervous system functioning optimally. That allows your body to regulate, protect, and heal itself to its highest ability. If your needs warrant adding the expertise of another provider, I will get you connected to a great one.

To all the “tough cases” out there, there is hope. I'd love to help you live your best life no matter what your challenges may be.
