Coronavirus, influenza, and colds….oh my!!!
Ok everyone, I'm just going to say it. This winter has been ROUGH on the old immune systems. We are moving into warmer weather and with that, we will naturally see a decline in the viruses and other “bugs” that have been plaguing so many of us.
Here's a few tips to help you keep your immune system strong while we wait for Spring.
1) Get Adjusted!!!!!!!! Really, this could be my only tip. Regular Chiropractic care can boost your immune system by 200%. Let me say that again…200%! As Shia LeBouef would say…. “Just Do IT!!”
2) Wash your hands frequently and avoid touching your face. Hand sanitizers are great in a pinch, but nothing beats a good handwash with warm water and soap. Why avoid touching your face? Most viruses attack the respiratory system and enter through the nose and mouth. Putting your hands near there is a great way to introduce the viruses to your body.
3) Garlic and onions are nature's antibiotics. Eating a garlicky pasta or some French Onion soup can help you fight off an infection or avoid it in the first place.
4) Get adjusted!! Yep, I snuck it in there again. It's THAT important. If you want to know more about how your adjustments boost your immunity, just ask me. I'll be happy to get as far into the science with you as you want!
Now, what about Coronavirus? I am far from an expert on the current stats or CDC recommendations. Check out cdc.gov for all the latest news and recommendations. If you want to talk through any concerns you have about Coronavirus, let me know.
Until next month, get adjusted, take care of yourselves, and keep looking forward to Spring!!
